About Laurel Winzler

Laurel is a preferred floral vendor at many exclusive SF Bay Area event venues, and exhibits annually at Bouquets to Art to benefit the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. She donates her time and talents to many organizations, including San Francisco Opera, Special Olympics, Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Community Music Center, Project Inform, United Religions Initiative, Senior Resource Center and the Junior League of San Francisco.

In addition, she is a sought-after speaker at hospitality industry events and has lectured regularly at California State University at the San Francisco and East Bay campuses. As a hobby, Laurel appears on stage as a non-singing extra (called a “supernumerary”) in the San Francisco Opera. Rick’s approach is that the most important element in life is relationship.  This is the difference that makes the difference in business, intimacy, community building, networking, etc.  Rick emphasizes one’s relationship to one’s self as a model and template for relating with others.  He asks: “If we don’t first learn how to take care of ourselves, how can we really be effective contributors in the world around us without burning out or living a life that is uninspiring?”

Rick was trained by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and has been coaching since 2004. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, and currently maintains his private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in the state of California. While coaching is not psychotherapy, the advantage of Rick’s background allows him to bring the psychological piece into the coaching practice, which makes for a much more effective relationship on helping people achieve results.

In service of a deeper level of change that actually stick, Rick also brings in his background of martial arts (Chi Kung, Tai Chi) in helping people embody the shifts that they are wanting to make in their lives.
